As a result, the data center has increased its energy savings from 40 to 50 percent when compared to a conventional data center. The announcement comes just a couple months after the EvoSwitch's signing of the EU Code of Conduct on Data Centres Energy Efficiency, in which it became one of a few European data centers that pledged to reduce their energy consumption by 20 percent by the year 2020. EvoSwitch says its ultimate goal is to achieve an energy savings rate of 80 percent.
