Green data center EvoSwitch launches new website

The interactive marketing agency MediaMonks has designed a new website for the datacenter EvoSwitch (www.evoswitch.com) in three languages, along with an accompanying content management system (CMS). The look-and-feel of the site that went live today must support the unique climate-neutral proposition of EvoSwitch.
More and more companies are realising the importance of climate-neutral operation. Just like EvoSwitch, a datacenter located in Haarlem with a floor area of more than 9,000 square metres where companies can house their IT equipment in an energy-efficient and climate-neutral manner. But how do you convey this vision on the web, without affecting the other qualities that you, as a supplier, wish to communicate to customers?
Customised CMS
In cooperation with MediaMonks, EvoSwitch has developed a website upon which mentions the energy-efficient and environmentally-aware features of the datacenter directly on the homepage via logos and short texts. A separate section focuses on the climate-neutral character of EvoSwitch. “Climate-neutral operation is an important theme for us”, says Laurens Rosenthal, Innovation Director of EvoSwitch. “On the other hand, the advanced and innovative infrastructure of EvoSwitch is equally vital. The structure of the new website enables us to now devote a proportional amount of attention to aspects such as safety, reliability, energy-efficient cooling systems, energy capacity, and the services that we provide in the datacenter. Thanks to the customised CMS, we can then share new developments within the datacenter easily and quickly with our customers.”
Green label ‘The Green Fan’
An essential part of the new website is the provision of the green label called ‘The Green Fan’, which EvoSwitch customers can place on their site from now on to show that they use a green datacenter. The website allows customers to log in and download logos in various formats and positions that correspond to different types of websites.
“Climate-neutral operation is increasingly becoming an ethical choice for many companies”, says Rosenthal. “A choice that you want to share with customers and partners. That is why we are now launching The Green Fan logo on our new website. EvoSwitch customers and partners can demonstrate to society via their own website that they are actively making a positive contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.”
Climate Neutral Group
The Green Fan is a logo for customers and partners of EvoSwitch. The green datacenter wishes to provide end users with a guarantee that the collective IT infrastructure is supplied in an efficient but primarily environmentally friendly manner. This is done, on the one hand, by saving energy while, on the other, by actively investing in climate-neutral operation in cooperation with the Climate Neutral Group. This is a renowned party with which EvoSwitch carries out global projects to restore the CO2 balance in the atmosphere, by planting new trees and setting up biogas projects, for example.
